In the spring of 2020, I began cultivating a garden on my balcony as a way to cope with the pandemic-induced isolation. Despite the limited space and lack of direct sunlight, I was able to learn a lot about gardening and had a fulfilling year as well as found a new passion that I had not known existed.

In the fall of 2020, my husband and I purchased a house with a large deck and spacious yard. My husband gifted me a greenhouse, which allowed me to cultivate a variety of plants. I experimented with different planting techniques and grew many seedlings. It was an absolute joy to watch them grow and thrive. I also had the opportunity to connect with other gardening enthusiasts and share my extra plants with them

In the spring of 2021, I began experiencing discomfort in my hand which eventually worsened to the point where it was affecting my garden. On September 14th, I underwent surgery to fix my ‘trigger finger’. During my recovery, I decided to start a website to document my gardening journey in the coming year. I had an abundance of seeds and so many new things to try. Then in June of 2022 a huge storm destroyed the greenhouse and lots of the plants I had growing. But life goes on and so does gardening!

Join me in 2024 as we explore the beauty of gardening together. I’m particularly passionate about Dahlias and I’m excited to introduce many new varieties this year. It’s January and the planting has already began.
